Meet Mr. Balachandran, the man who owns his dream farm. Agrilife Organic farm is a work of life that blooms and flourishes through challenges. Even living in Saudi Arabia for 25 years, a farmer’s life in his own country was always in his mind. For that, while working there, he bought land near his home in the country. Later, his father helped him realize his own dreams. It was my father who started farming in that place. After his father’s death, he returned home. Today’s agrilife farm is developed through hard work.

The Journey of AgriLife

The idea of ​​a farm started in 2015. He started with goat farming, Crossbred goats like Jamnapyari, Malabari and Totapuri were cultivated. Later he turned to cattle rearing. It started with the Vechur cow. A good cow shed was built from the thought of moving forward to a good farm. Now the farm contains 15 cows. Organic vegetable farming emerged from how to utilize cow dung. Along with that Ayurjack plant saplings were also planted. Now the jackfruit has opened up a good market. Ananganadi Grama Panchayat’s beekeeping program also opened the way to bee farming. Honey fetches good market value. Along with that, small scale fish farming and paddy cultivation are being done under Agrilife Organic Farm.

AgriLife - Organic Paradise

Today our agrilife farm brings joy to mind and good income. There is a good cattle shed with 15 cows and fodder cultivation adjacent to it. Balu was honored with the award for the best milk producing dairy farmer in Anangnadi Panchayat. And he is the President of Ambalavattom Milma Society. Vegetables such as ladies finger, banana, tapioca, jackfruit, snake guard, yam, ash guard, cucumber, papaya, are being produced in two farming land areas. Now Jackfruit is the main crop in the farm. Customers can directly come and collect vegetables from farm.

 

Farm products are also available from Farmers Market. Our acquaculture is done in a pond with three various species such as tilapia, Nutter and aavoli, ensuring only fish feed and maintain water quality. Natural Honey is also produced in the farm. This year they started paddy cultivation for getting organic rice and the strow for the cattles feed. He practices integrated farming methods that include livestock, orchards and pisciculture makes Agrilife an organic paradise.
